Tier 2 Main Applicant to ILR and Tier 2 dependent Status?

Post by Panther » Thu Dec 22, 2016 11:15 pm

Dear Forum Members,

I am a Tier 2 main applicant and finishing my 5 years next month. My wife joined me (as Tier 2 Dependent) in Feb 2013 and she has not finished 5 years yet. We both have Tier 2 visa valid till Jan 2018. I am intending to apply for ILR next month. I am wondering whether my wife will still be in Tier 2 Dependent Visa? Or She has to move to FLR(M)? If she moves to FLR, will it reset her qualifying clock / years for ILR to zero?

Whats is best possible solution in this situation? If anyone has faced / seen this situation in the past, please share your opinion. I tried finding solution in the gov.uk website but looks like there is no direct solution here.

Thanks in Advance

Regards
Raj

Hello Vinny,

Thanks for your reply. It says dependent is eligible to remain / extend in Tier 2 PBS scheme until h/she becomes eligible for settlement.
