Tier 2(general) supplementary work

Post by HBBB » Sat Dec 24, 2016 12:48 am

Merry Christmas to everybody,

I'm on T2(gen) and my job is in shortage list. I'm sponsored by a company for my main job without any problems. I like to do some freelancing less than 20hr a week as supplementary work that satisfies all criteria like being in the same SOC and same level, etc. except for being an employment.
can I use an umbrella company for the supplementary work to be considered as employed instead of self-employed? Bearing in mind that I'm really employed and sponsored for my main job.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Enjoy your holidays!

The devil is in the detail; no umbrellas, no selfemployment, no contracting.
Keep to terms of your T2.

I thought that's only for main job. What about if one of my visa dependents setup a company and employe me for less than 20hr a week? Is it within terms of my T2?

No, it's not. :!:

Remember T2 is not all about you.
It takes two to tango.

UK gov has an interest in this too, in terms of what's best for UK economy & etc.
