Naturalistaion time period

Post by szakir_786 » Tue Dec 27, 2016 10:47 pm

Hi, I have been living in UK for more than 5 years and now I am about to marry a British Citizen. All I want to know is that can I apply for naturalisation after three years of getting married or do I need to wait for 5 years after getting married..?

Assuming you have been granted ILR or PR and you meet all the standard requirements for BC, you can apply immediately after your marriage.

Edit: Why have you opened a new thread with the same question? You've already been given advice in your original thread

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
