Permanent residence application-please help!

Post by Ma_tso » Mon Jan 09, 2017 11:58 am

Hi all!
Just found this forum and thought to ask you some questions.

My partner and I (both EEA citizens living in London since 2008) are applying for the PR and after we get that we're planning to apply for the Naturalisation/Citizenship.

We both worked since we got here (2008) at a couple of brands as unpaid interns to gain experience in order to find a proper job later on. At the beginning we were both getting support from our families living in our original EEA country of origin. After 6 months I found a job as a freelancer but made redundant a year later so enrolled to the closest Job Centre Plus and started actively seeking for a job. However, non of us ever had that Comprehensive Sickness Insurance for the period that we were considered self sufficient persons. My partner never got a job till we opened our own LTD (that was in 2011). And even if we had obtained that CSI, how we would still have that? We got a European Health Insurance Card issued in the UK just a couple of years ago... Please advise!! Thanks a lot in advance!

P.S. as far as I understand and after having asked the immigration office we need to provide evidence for the last 5 years - does this mean that we might not need to provide evidence for the CSI?
