No Tracking Number

Post by milindsm » Thu Jan 12, 2017 9:06 pm

Hi

Me and wife submitted the naturalisation application today (along with the PP application) at Brent council. We haven't been given any tracking number. The member of staff verified the docs, took photocopies and said "that's it!".

I noticed on the timelines posts that people could track their applications using royal mail tracking number. I know it is just the tracking number to check whether it has reached HO or not.

Is it normal for the NCS staff not to give the tracking number? I just have JCAP 9 digit barcode.

Cheers

It seems a bit "hit or miss" across the country. In my case got the number, the Special Delivery Envelope was right in front of me, number was written on my receipt. In some cases application bundles are consolidated into one parcel and number may not be available at the time of your appointment. I have yet to see reports on applications being lost from NCS process.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Date of NCS appointment is date of application. Your application is in the system.
After that its all effectively 'internal mail'.

Thanks for the replies. I called the council this morning and they gave me the tracking number.
