application for registration as british citizenship

Post by nasir228 » Sun Jan 15, 2017 1:30 am

Hi All,
please if some one can help me I am applying for naturalization and the question is that about 6 years ago police raided the house I was living in with other boys. They were looking for a guy in connection to the sexual assault complain but at that time that guy was not at home and they thought i am the guy they were looking for and arrested me. they took my finger prints and DNA in police station and after interviewing me they released me on police bail. After few days that guy handed himself to police and they charged him and gave me No Further Action letter and I was never been charged, never went to any court and no conviction at all.
could you please advise me whether i should disclose it or.
I thank you in advance for your support.

There should be no harm in disclosing a mistaken arrest.

In the form or in Guidance notes no where they have asked whether you got arrested or not and i am worried that if I disclosed it even though it is not required it might delay my decision.
