Applying for citizenship with Naturalised British parents

I have been living in UK since 2007 and am currently a full-time student. I am applying for British Citizenship and have encountered a few problems. Both my parents have been holding British Citizenship since 2014 which I did not acquire automatically with them as I turned 18 by the time they were applying for it, thus I have to apply separately now.
Therefore there are some questions I would like to ask:
- Do I need to apply for a permanent residence card prior applying for British Citizenship?
- Do I need any additional insurance or am I covered with my parents’ one?
- Which form should I complete?

What's your nationality, EEA or non-EEA?
If over 18 you need DCPR/PRC before naturalising.

You may be able to get that DCPR/PRC on basis of EEA parent sponsorship, perhaps 2007-2012.
Were you under 21 at that time?

What insurance do you mean? CSI?

Yes

If you were a family member of your parents who were exercising treaty rights for at least 5 years, then also being a student shouldn't matter. Therefore, I don't think that you would need CSIC, unless your parents and their family members required it for PR. Whether you are covered by their insurance policy depends on the chosen policy.

EEA(PR) and subsequently AN1.

2) I was under 21 between 2007-2012, so which DCPR/PRC form should I complete? There are many of them available and I don't know which one is appropriate.

3) As a student, I am fully financially supported by my working parents who both are self-employed dentists and they pay NIC. I do not work myself and the only insurance I hold is UK EHIC.

1) If parent was qualified person (in EU migration context), or settled, you may have acquired PR back in 2012.

2) Good. No need to prove financial dependency for a period when aged under 21.

Cohabitation with sponsor helps but is not mandatory.
I sense you lived at home from age 12+ anyway.

Form EEA (PR) - as advised previously.

3) One parent can sponsor you as they naturalised in 2014 ie after you should have acquired PR.
Now they are British, my understanding is they could no longer sponsor you for any period since 2014.

Choose parent with best evidence for a continuous 5 year period within, say, 2007-2013 (or up to date of naturalisation).

Good documentary supporting evidence required.

UK EHIC doesn't help but CSI not required as you are the family dependent of a selfemployed qp anyway.

In the guidance notes for the EEA(PR) application, it's mentioned that a student should provide 'A declaration, signed and dated by the relevant EEA national, confirming that they have/had sufficient financial resources to cover them and any family members living in the UK (if applicable) not to become a burden on the UK’s social assistance system during their period of stay in the UK as a student – this should be witnessed and counter-signed by a Commissioner for Oaths, public notary, or magistrate.'

Where can I get this declaration from? Is there a form I should complete and where can I find it?
