Indefinite leave

Post by Asma7 » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:32 am

Hi,

If someone has come on a spouse visa for 2 years to England, what is the process for them to attain indefinite leave? And then get British Citizenship? Please can someone explain, I will really appreciate it.

Thank you

There has been no '2 year' spouse visa since 9 July 2012.

It is now:
1. 33 month entry visa if applied from outside of the UK.

2. FLR(M) visa 2.5 year extension

3. ILR after 5 years residence

4. BC 12 months after being granted ILR, unless married to a British Citizen where the 12 month wait after ILR isn't required.

Conditions are relevant to all applications.
