ILR & Tier 2 Family members

Post by tatetate » Sat Jan 21, 2017 7:33 pm

Hi
Asking this for a friend who is currently NHS doctor and will be eligible for ILR in next 2 Weeks.
His family who are his dependants are on tier 2 with him who will be eligible in 2018 for ILR,

Question 1) When he gets ILR , is he going to switch his family from ILR to FLR?
Question 2) IF they change His family status to FLR from Tier 2 will it reset their clock?
Questions 3) if he changes his job. Can family stay on same tier 2 and he can have his ILR.

Thanks

Question 1) When he gets ILR , is he going to switch his family from ILR to FLR?

When he gets ILR, why does he need to apply for FLR? He waits after ILR for 12 months and applies for a passport.

Question 2) IF they change His family status to FLR from Tier 2 will it reset their clock?

Why would they change it to FLR when after Tier 2 he is getting ILR?

Questions 3) if he changes his job. Can family stay on same tier 2 and he can have his ILR.

No. Depends on when the wife started on Tier 2 with him. Have all the family members started TIER 2 together, if yes then all apply for ILR together and once get ILR, Tier 2 IS INVALID.
