Mother visit visa guidance required

Post by afauk » Sun Jan 22, 2017 10:02 pm

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if someone can help me with the application process for my mother living backhoe with my 2 brothers and their families.

Situation :
we are 3 brothers and i am the second one living in London for past 13 years and a British National have wife and 2 daughters.
My mother lives in Pakistan and lives with my other 2 brothers and their families. My mother totally depends on us and don't have any property or bank balance to prove she will return.

I am providing my bank statements to show my salary and also the savings so i can prove that i will bear all her expenses and even paying the visa fee as well myself.
I am also attaching the following :
1) Bank statements to show salary and savings to fund my mother's expense
2) tenancy agreement for my flat i am renting in London
3) Utility Bills
4) my Passport copies
5) sponsor letter from me
6) letter to UKBA explaining i will support my mother.
7) my mother passport
8) my mother's tenancy agreement backhome ( to show that she has commitment back home and she will return)
9) My mother's previous passports with visa stamps for last two times she has visited me in last 10 years.

Is this enough to support my application or i am missing something?

My brothers' are not providing any sponsor or bank statements to show they are going to support her.

Also, i want to know if i have to get the bank statement etc attested before i send these over to her so she can submit with her application?

Please guide me!

Appreciate your help.

Many Thanks.

It's essential to submit evidence of your mother's strong ties to her home country. Without this the application stands little chance of succeeding.

The ECO will want to see evidence of self-sufficiency in the home country. Examples of ties would be property ownership, employment, income, family dependants in the home country etc.

If you are your mother's sole supporter the concern will be that she will remain in the UK with your continuing financial support. Visitor visas for parents have become more difficult to obtain since the route to settlement for adult dependants was virtually closed in July 2012.

Hi All,

Apologies for the delay.

just to confirm my mother's visa with the list mentioned in my original question alongwith a covering letter from me and one from her. She was granted the visa within 11 days. I applied for 2 years visit visa for her and she got it.

I believe all cases are different and there is always a possibility in everything.

Good luck to all.

Hi Afauk,

I am in similar situation like you.
Could you please post the covering letter provided by you and letter from your mother.

Thanks.
