I wanted to ask if it is essential for us to include a Tenancy agreement as part of a FLR(M) application.
My partner and I are in a civil partnership. He was granted a spouse visa 2.5 years ago and we are extending this for the first time as part of the 5 year route. Although we have been living together since having a civil partnership, we do not have a tenancy agreement for either of the properties that we have lived at.
My question regards the documents that will verify that we have continued to be in a relationship with each other. As we don't have bills in our joint names, we have to provide 12 documents (6 each) to show proof of having some joint financial responsibilities. The documents we will submit are:
HIM:
Joint Bank Account
Council Tax Bill
Letter from HMRC
DVLA
GP Prescription (has our address on it)
TV Licence
ME:
Credit Card Statement
Water Bill
Gas Bill
HMRC Tax Bill
Bank Statement
Student Loan Company Statement
All of these documents show that we lived at the same address over the past 2 years, but will the HO want to know why we have not provided a tenancy agreement for the flat we rent?
