TB Certificate- Out of country Application

Post by monushh » Tue Jan 24, 2017 2:16 pm

Hi,

My wife and kid have applied for entry clearence through Tier 2 route from India on Friday(20th Jan 2017) last week.

This morning they got email notifications to submit TB certificates as below:

"Further to our recent e-mail confirming the receipt of the application above we have not been able to locate a TB Certificate with the documents provided. An Entry Clearance Officer will not be able to process this application until a TB Certificate is provided.

Once completed, you can attach the document to an email and send it to the email address below quoting our reference: VAF#####

VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

To enable our team to decide your case promptly it is essential that you reply as soon as you can. If you do not produce the information requested by 31/01/2017, the application will be considered on the basis of the documents and information you have already provided."

My wife has resided in the UK since last 10 months before she travelled India to put the application. And my kid stayed 5 months before the application.

Will they be needing to go through the TB screening process in India?

We have however, submitted TB certificates which were done in the UK clinics.

However, they have approached the approved clinics in India where they need original passports to undergo this process.

My wife and kid have submitted their passports at VFS along with their applications and they do not have their original passports now

Therefore, can someone hlep how can we get this resolved or if there is any alternative to this?

An urgent reply will be much appreciated as the deadline is 31st January!

Thank you.

Best regards.

Maybe you can take the print of the email to the hospital which will show them the original passport is with the Embassy and request them to consider the xerox copies for verification purposes. It would be better to carry original of some other form if ID (e.g. original driving license) just in case.

Can't think of any other option on immediate basis. Other alternative is to withdraw your application, get the passport back, do the TB test and apply again.

Thank you for the reply. Actually, in the emial notification from home office its not mentioned that they have got the passports. However, we have the photocopies along with all other required documents for TB test. When they visited the TB test center at Hyderabad, they didnt accept and were adamant to see original passports.

We have spoken to the UKVI about this, and they have escalated this case and asked us to wait for Home offices reply on this.

The Test centre guys are ok to see atleast a letter from home office stating that the passports are in their possession.

May I ask you what happens if we withdraw the application and want to reapply from start?

Are they going to loose the visa ad IHS fee?

Does a new CoS will be needed? etc..

Sorry, am not fully aware of the withdraw process. Maybe the moderators or someone with similar experience can comment.

Can someone advise what are the results of withdrawing a out of country Tier 2 application:

New application needed?

New CoS needed?

Is the visa fee refunded?

Is the Health Surcharge fee refunded?
