New sponsor after termination

Hi,

I've been under a Tier2 visa for several years but unfortunately my sponsor decided to terminate several of us under sponsorship for internal business reasons. This was 2 weeks ago.

I have several job options now and may start the interviewing process hopefully next week. However I don't know if I can just switch sponsor now or if I should have to leave the uk and apply as if it were a new visa from scratch.

Any info would be highly appreciated.

Forgot to mention, my original CoS for the General Tier2 visa expires on early 2019.

Find a new sponsor, get a COS, apply in the U.K.
No need to return home - in fact if you do you will be subject to a one year cooling off period if you get curtailment along the way.
