Help: Wrong IHS number in Tier 2 Dependent Visa Form

Post by gannet » Sat Jan 28, 2017 3:10 pm

Hi All,
We have just submitted my wife's Tier 2 Dependent Visa renewal application through the online application form. Having submitted the online form last night we realised that we have inserted my wife's old IHS number, the one she was assigned when she first applied as a PBS dependent last early last year - instead of applying and paying for a new IHS number to be inserted into form before submission. We are yet to post supporting documents. Can anything be done now?
I appreciate your kind advice in this stressful situation.

A covering note explaining the mistake should be enough IMO. If you are also sending the printed application form (the one you filled online), then cross out the wrong IHS number & write the new one.

thanks for your quick and helpful response bruteforce. Should we send the covering note with the supporting documents? or is there another channel via which we can send it?

also, we wouldn't normally send the printed application along with supporting documents, do you recommend doing that?

If you are not sending the printed application then just a covering not with supporting documents should be fine. They cannot refuse the application purely because of wrong IHS number.
