LIUK same ID

Post by JasmineV » Sun Jan 29, 2017 11:59 am

Hello!
I hope somebody will be able to help me.
I have passed my LIUK test 7 (yes seven lol) years ago and for various reasons have not applied for british citizenship yet. I am about to apply before my English test expires. The problem is HO requires to enclose with the application same ID used to sit the test. I have recently renewed my passport and the old one was taken of me so I don't have it available anymore. So my question is does it actually have to be exactly the same ID i used to sit the test or the same form of ID? It is not very clear to me since it doesn't state in LIUK terms and conditions that it is only valid with exactly same ID used at the test. The same situation is with my English test, there is an ID number on it which is now different. I hope I won't have to resit both tests once again because of that.
Thank in advance!

You should be ok with the current passport (these documents do expire!) but more importantly do you have the original test pass letter - UKVI insist on the original.
For English did you take the B1 test? Per the list of UKVI approed test centres? See https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... uage-tests.
If the answer is negative to one or both then perhaps you have to re-sit them.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thank you so much for your reply! Much appreciated. The answer is yes to both, still original LIUK pass certificate and approvved languave test! I feel relieved now, thanks once again :)

If the proof of English is now expiring are you sure its a SELT (from the latest list)?

Yes, I'm sure, I was aware of the changes that coming into effect in November 2015 so made sure it was approved Trinity College London and passed it in July 2015. Thanks for your concern :)
