travel with EEA 2 RC but without EEA spouse

Hello,

My husband hold a residence card EEA 2 ( i am french ) and we have been traveling to France without visa for many years but always with me.
Is it possible for him to travel to France without visa and without me ? would he have any issues at the border ? He will take the eurostar.
