Father and daughter

Post by michelissa » Fri Feb 03, 2017 4:35 pm

Dear Sirs,
I wonder if you could advise me with this matter:
I have Indefinite Leave to Remain for more than one year
My daughter is British (with a British passport) she was born after I received my ILR.
I have another child who was born out side the UK
he has been in the UK for 18 month now. (he is 10)
two years before that he was in the UK for two years as well
I am applying for the citizenship soon
Do you think it is worth applying for him to get a British citizenship with me?
thank you
I apologise if this question was asked before. I spent sometime searching without luck

What is the immigration status of the other parent?

The UK immigration status of children born abroad is normally in line with that of the less-privileged parent (unless you can prove sole legal custody of the children).

yes she is.
she came to the UK in 2007 on student Visa, went back home (out of EU) in 2012 and came back to the UK on July 2014.
she is now on a spouse visa.

Son should wait until both wife and son have ILR.
