HO didn't return my old yellow & blue cards

Hello

Received my permanent residence documents and card today, but Home Office didn't return my old yellow and blue cards. Those are the card issued to Bulgarians and Romanians back during the transitional period (worker accession cards).

Is that normal? Will I need them when I'm applying for citizenship?
