General visitor-mother

Post by ILRasi » Mon Feb 06, 2017 1:21 pm

Hi,

I would like to apply for visitor visa for my mother. My mother is widow and no income or property in her name.
I do some fund transfer to her India account. Can I mention in the application that I take care of her general expenses in India and I am going to sponsor the trip cost?Shall I submit my mother bank account to show the fund transfer I did.

Please help with you advise.

Thank you..

The fact that you are supporting your mother financially will actually weaken her visitor visa application. She will need to submit evidence of strong ties and self-sufficiency in her home country in order to convince the ECO that she won't overstay in the UK. From your post it appears that your mother has no real reason to return home.

Visitor visas for parents have become harder to obtain following the virtual closure in July 2012 of the route to settlement for adult dependent relatives.
