Tier 2 General Visa Extension

Hi All,

My tier 2 General visa is coming up for renewal in April 2017. I would like to get few things clarified before I proceed with the application.

SOC: 2139, Experienced: £29,900

1. My Indian passport has been renewed an year go and it has got a new passport number on it. I have not notified the UKBA about the change of passport number or the renewal. Not sure if this is something I should have done?
2. When my HR tried to assign the new CoS to myself, it automatically populates all the old details including my old passport number. Since I have renewed my passport recentlyy, my HR have to assign this CoS as a new one and not as renewal. Will that cause any issue?
3. Required salary is £29000 but I am currently getting around £46000 including the overtime. Will that be an issue?
4. Could you please provide me a document check-list for renewing the Tier 2 Genaral visa? I have got 3 dependents ( Wife and 3 kids). My 3rd kid is recently born so I only have his Indian passport and Birth Certificate.

I really appreciate if someone could provide me some insight into it.

1. No problem
2. I think she should be able to change just the passport number. Whatever the case, make sure she does the extension and not a new application. Wrong passport number wont be a problem since u will be sending your other passport along as well, however marking it as new application will be a problem.
3. No problem
4 search the forum first, come up with a list and if something is missing, people will suggest it. You should also get a check list once u complete the online form.

Regarding the point #2, I would like to get more information.

When you try to create and assign a CoS, you normally get following options to choose;

Tier and Category

--- new hires
--- switching the category
--- Extensions
--- etc..

We selected Extensions

On the next page, you get the following;

-- Create new single Certificate
--Create new single Certificate based on the existing certificate
-- Create new batch of certificate etc..

My question is which option should I select from the above?

I am working with the same employer, same job title and its an extension.

What option should we select from the abovelist? Could some one help. I'm going for Tier 2 Extension with same employer.
