I am unsure if anyone can help me in here, but I cannot think of anywhere (bar contacting the passport office themselves which is my next port of call) else that has the knowledge to help!
My partner is a British citizen by birth, she has never owned a passport but has a long form UK birth certificate etc.
Her birth certificate shows no father and she has no relation/does not know any information about him.
Her mother (British by birth) was adopted at an early age by a couple (both British by birth) who also had her name changed from what she was born with.
she doest have her mothers adoption papers etc.. but I know you can get them from the GRO so that isn't an issue but can anyone tell me EXACTLY what I would need to prove her citizenship for a passport?
I would assume
Mothers Birth certificate, Adoption certificate and my partners birth certificate?
My partner isn't sure if her mothers name was changed before or during or after the adoption process but knows her original name but isn't in contact to ask.
Can anyone help?
