speeding awareness course

Post by Coldwinter » Tue Feb 07, 2017 8:22 pm

Hi
I am due for my naturalisation and had the following queries regarding a speeding awareness course I took in 2012:

1: Does this need to be declared on the form?

2: Going by my agents advise, I did not declare this on my ilr aplication but have declared it on all previous visa applications (tier 2). Did I do the right thing?

Thanks for your help.

Coldwinter,

I was about to complete my naturalisation form and I just looked at FORM AN. And on this form there is no space to disclose a speed awareness course.
Shall we disclose it on page 22 - Additional Info?

Let me know what do you think.
Thanks

I would not. Because it is not a penalty whatsoever. I do not think it fits in any category that need to be declared. However if you declare it should not do any harm.

Folks
I am in two minds, one option is not to mention it on the form so there is consistency with the ILR application. The other option is to mention it somewhere. I know it has no impact on the application if I mention it. I want to do the right thing, just unsure what the right thing is.

Looking forward to your advice.

Thanks

I had one Fixed Penalty and one speeding awareness course, i declared only Fixed penalty, officer asked me to send me the original notice, i didn't have it, then i requested from the respective office and then i submitted, my application approved. I hope this help in your case.

Hi Ukdreamer
I have never heard of case workers requesting the fpn notice. Was there a reason for this? When did you apply for naturalisation and when did you get the fpn?

Thanks
