Extend Sponsorhip on Tier 2 LongTerm ICT

Hello,

I entered the UK on a Tier 2 ICT Long Term (5 year) Visa in November 2015. My Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) was until July 2017. So, I received a BRP which is valid until August 2017.

Can you help me with this,

1. Can my sponsorship be extended further within the same visa ? and Maximum till November 2020 ?
2. Will this be a new CoS or a revision of the existing one ?
3. Can this be done while I continue to reside in the UK ?
4. If 1 is true, Will I receive a new BRP till the new expiry date of the CoS ?

You are a bit confused on the terms - visa, CoS, sponsorship. To clarify your queries:

1. Your current visa (i.e. BRP) is valid until Aug-2017. You can extend your stay in UK for a max of 5 year (In total).
2. Your previous CoS is now used. You will need a new CoS from your employer with new start and end dates.
3. You can extend your visa from within UK.
4. If your extension is approved, you will get a new BRP with the new dates based on the CoS.
