Extending Tier 2 with same employer

Hi All,
My Tier 2(G) will be expiring in May, 2017 and I am currently looking to extend my stay. My current employer will most likely be extending my contract.
My question is as I am extending my current leave with same employer and with same SOC code, will this new job need to be advertised or it will be exempt from RLMT?

Please note that the new job will have same soc but will be highly paid and job title will be different as well.

If you are extending with the same employer and with same SOC code, then RLMT is not required.

When you say the job title will change - does it also mean that your responsibilities may also differ? If yes, UKVI may consider this as a change of job. Not sure though. They may only consider the SOC code and approval as well.

Hi,
The responsibilities will be same but as you may know that even with same SOC there are different. e.g. for SOC code 2142, the related job title could be any of the following;
 Energy manager
 Environmental consultant
 Environmental engineer
 Environmental protection officer
 Environmental scientist
 Landfill engineer

So does it matter if this changes with same SOC code?
