Start date in FPS

Post by jafersadeq » Mon Feb 13, 2017 5:07 pm

Dear Gurus,
Immigration Rules-Appendix A
(h) if the applicant is required to score points for job creation in Table 5 or Table 6, he must provide the following:

for reporting from 6 October 2013 onwards, printouts of Real Time- Full Payment Submissions which confirm the report of PAYE income tax to HMRC.

The evidence in above must show the total payments made to the settled workers as well as the tax deducted and date which they started work with the applicant’s business.

Does HO want to see the start date of settled employee in all (12) FPS reports or just the specified FPS which contains the starting date in that month the employee started?
Thanks,

Lets say your monthly pay date in your company is 20th of each month. Lets say you hire two employees starting on 10th and 25th March. Normally the first one will show up on the CURRENT month submission for March but the second one will show up on the NEXT month submission (or the month of April) as that will be the first month each will be paid.

Few softwares show up the repeated dates of starters as you mentioned.

Logically, Start Date(First Month of respective Employee) on FPS is enough.

I am using HMRC's basic original RTI software, it produces 4 page long RTI-FPS-Report every month where all the required info are there, though.

Unlike moneysoft software [which I have just started to use] it gives starter date only in the month where staff has started and not in any later reports.

If you are going for ILR and all the employees claiming points for were employed already at point of extension and are still employed (so no start or end dates on RTI) How do you comply with:

"The evidence in above must show the total payments made to the settled workers as well as the tax deducted and date which they started work with the applicant’s business."

As the evidence does not show this.

That is common sense too. You send the FPS reports you sent for extension that show the starting dates AGAIN plus the 12 months FPS reports of tax payments during the extension period.
