Tier 2 General dependent IHS surcharge

Hello,
I am going to apply Tier 2 General dependent visa for my child born in UK but applying visa from India. As the main applicant my visa is expiring on 21 Aug 2017 when after I will be eligible for PR ILR.

As my visa expiring in six months will I need to pay IHS surcharge for my baby?

The IHS guidance states that you would have to pay half the IHS charge if the leave includes part of the year less than 6 months.

I assume you are doing your application online. The surcharge would be automatically calculated when you enter the relevant details.

It will be calculated at the end of the application , as your Visa expiry is almost 6 months, so you may need to pay 100£ ( if you will apply after 21 Feb ) , But System will calculate it at the end of the application.
