H1b visa - Can I do business considering - E2 treaty signed

Hi Ya.. I am in the process of getting a H1b visa, If I manage to get H1B visa, wondering if it is legal to work on H1b and still continue with business - if I apply for E2 on my wife visa - if she is on H4 visa

Please advise
