EEA (PR) application, WRS and Studying questions.

Post by KimJongHealthy » Sun Feb 19, 2017 8:59 pm

Hi,

I'm filling the EEA premanent residency application online and got stuck on this question:

"Did you work for an uninterrupted period of 12 months in accordance with one or more of the documents mentioned in the previous question?"

I moved to the UK in 2004 and have been living here ever since. WRS certificates are not required for the qualifying period however I was issued one back in 2004 when I started my first job.

Foolishly I haven't told the HO when I changed my employment several months later, therefore I have not worked "for an uninterrupted period" of 12 months. Simple answer is NO.

Considering that WRS was abolished in 2011 so doesn't count for my 5yr qualifying period, can this have an impact on my application?

Another part I'm not clear about is "Were you a student or self-sufficient person?" in the Study section.

I got my BSc degree in 2006 (I joined on 3rd year) and during that period I was working part-time for few companies, which I explained in the details. Is this enough, or should I include some payslips or P60 for that period as a proof? Or perhaps it doesn't really matter since, again, it's outside of the 5yr qualifying period?

Any answers highly appreciated, thank you.

Lastly, the "How did you meet the requirement to hold comprehensive sickness insurance while you were a student or self-sufficient person during the relevant period?" question is missing one possible answer.

I did not have EHIC card or any of the forms listed as possible answers. Selecting "I have not held any of the above" gives me a warning that "if you are counting this period of study or self-sufficiency as part of your continuous 5 year qualifying period, then you may not qualify for permanent residency because you have not held comprehensive sickness insurance. You can continue with your application by clicking on save and continue below."

I worked part-time and paid national insurance contributions during my studying period, so none of those options were even required. It does not count towards my 5yr qualifying period, however I'd rather avoid having any negative marks on my application.

Should I just explain in the comments that I had the NI contributions paid through my part-time jobs?
