mistake in cos?

Post by harry5496 » Tue Feb 21, 2017 8:23 pm

hi ,

my employer allocated me a COS today for tier2 -extension, i dont know if its restricted or unrestricted COS , in the section where it says. how to differentiate it
2. in the section where it says Does the migrant need to leave and re-enter
the UK during the period of approval? , my employer kept N ( will it be problem if am leaving uk to visit my place during holidayz??
3.in the resident labour section: he kept Yes and the reason as already employed this is an extension in the reason box(will this be an problem)

finally if these are mistakes can the assigned COS be edited ??

appreciate any advice

thanks in advance

2. It's only during the approval process. You can come and go as you please once you get your visa.

3. No problem. It's exact same thing my employer did.

Hi Harry,

Just had a look at my last COS. Sorry couldnt do from home as it was in my office PC.

Under Tier and Category, it clearly states Tier 2 (General - Extensions).

If it was a restricted COS, it should state Tier 2 (General - New Hires - Restricted).

Refer to pages 15 & 16 of SMS guide 12:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... ed_CoS.pdf

Ask your HR for a pdf copy or print out of your extension COS.

Hope this helps!
