ILR eligibility if salary drops below RMLT exempt threshold

Post by micasa » Wed Feb 22, 2017 12:02 pm

I am on Tier 2 General visa for 3+ years now. When my employer hired me, they did not need to perform a Resident Market Labour Test for my position which pays above the threshold salary (£155,300pa). Last year I renewed my Tier 2 General visa for another 3 years. The problem is my base salary may go down below the cut-off. How does this affect my eligibility for applying for ILR after I stay in the UK for 5 years on T2 General? The job description broadly remains the same. Many thanks for your advice.
