Hi gurus, I need to be enlightened. I applied for T1 extention on august 15 th 2016. My initial leave expired after 3 year 4 months on August 26th 2016. The extention application was refused on 10th October 2016. I applied for AR on 11th October 2016 and was refused on 10th November 2016. I then filed a new application on 15th Nov 2016 which was granted on 20th February 2017. In view of the new rules that came into effect on 24th November 2016 when will I be eligible to apply for ILR ?

Yes. Your period of overstay is only 5 days between 10th and 15th November, given your second application was granted.
The five days will be discarded for ILR.

Please advise what documents did you submit for the new application ?
Do we need to send all those old documents again which were sent during the initial application?

or some latest documents too ?

Please advise

Thanks

Hi zimba would this period be discarded for 5 years ILR route or ten years private life route?

Hi Druid,

When you submitted your second fresh application after you AR refusal, while you were waiting for the decision could you carry on working on your business? I ask because you were overstayer while you were waiting for the decision?

Thanks.
