10 year Employment History - worked while being a student

Post by Zhonor » Fri Feb 24, 2017 1:38 pm

I'm non-EU married to an EEA national and am holding EEA PR for over a year.

I have submitted my application via NCS and I am worried about the 10 year employment part.

In 2008 I came to the UK and was holding a student visa so was working part time (20 hours per week) and I continued working part time until I completed my course in 2010 which I then turn to full time while waiting for my PSW. Do I need to clarify this in 1.50 "Employment History in the UK". I have just written the company name, address, title and dates. I have not broken any immigration law by illegal working or working more than 20 hours but how do I prove it?

Anyone worked during their student days and got refused when applying for citizenship?

Do you need to prove it?

Im afraid they might refuse my naturalisation application on 'good character' because I was working as a student. They won't know how many hours I worked when I was a student because it's not written anywhere on my P60 (although NCS did not submit any of my P60).

I know there is no appeal for naturalisation so I wanted to make sure I get it right as losing £1236 for the application base on small mistake like that is very painful.

If you provide all the employment details as requested on the form, then it may be their burden (56) to prove that you had breached your conditions by working over the limits.

Thanks Vinny.

I've supplied all my employment details as required on the form. I don't know how they are going to prove I was working over the limit as there was a huge drop in my pay for the 2 years that I was a student in comparison to when I was working full time.
