EFM unmarried partner with rights to appeal

Hi all,
I am new here. I heard a lot about this forum.long story short,im non-eea overstayer living here for 3 years with my unmarried eu partner and 10 months son.we applied for EFM residence card application in start of august 2016 with just 17 months cohabition(water bill,tenecy agreement,gas electricity bills,tv licence,etc)with partner working contract,payslips,bank statments and our child birth certificate(both parents name).but on 5th febuary 2017 they refuse our application rights to appeal with in 14 days or leave the country voluntary.they gave us reasons that we didnt provide enough evidence of staying together and child birth certificate has not enough weight without DNA.

my question is what we need to do,should we submit new application with new proofs or we go for appeal?
