Will I be denied my Tier 4 visa because of my boyfriend?

Hello,

I have wanted to do an MA in the UK way before meeting my boyfriend and would do so even if he was out of the picture. I met him when I took a language course in England for 6 months and have been with him for almost two years, and I am now wondering if my relationship will be seen as an issue...

I was considering staying at his place instead of rooming with strangers, but I am now wondering if this would be detrimental to my visa application. And even if I do not stay with him during my course, will my previous visits to him (2 months from July 2016 and 2 weeks in December 2016) be an issue?

He says I should lie about it, say we broke up and that I will be staying with a friend (a real friend I have that lives in the UK). I am sure lying would only get me in trouble. This has been a dream of mine for so long... I don't want to jeopardise such an amazing opportunity.

No, unless you also appear to not know much about your course or otherwise seem to be not a credible student.
