BRP - when do i need to arrive in uk?

I am writing to ask for some advice please.
I have spouse visa ( brp) which was issued on 5th Jan 2017. I travelled to Uk for one day to pick up brp and then came back.to UAE

My spouse is Uk citizen but we both working in UAE until July 2017 ( contract ends).

My question is my visa expires 5/10/2019/ When I apply for extension will it be a problem that I will have only been resident for 27 months....and also will it cause problems when I apply for ILR at end of 2nd via .

Do I have to travel to uk before July ??
