Tier 2 general dependent application

Post by vanditaverma31 » Tue Feb 28, 2017 8:54 pm

Hi,
I am currently in UK and having tier 2 general leave to remain visa. I am going back India to get married and at the same time my husband will submit tier 2 dependant visa application. Once he gets his visa in 2 weeks, he will come to UK with me.
Following are my queries:
1. In the Family details section of application form, my husband has entered my details in Spouse details. But 'will your spouse/partner travelling with you?' What should be the answer yes or no? As I already having visa from last 1 year but I will be coming to uk with him once he get his visa.
Please suggest.
2. In the main applicant section, as I am having tier 2 general visa, I put my details. But 'are you accompanying main applicant/joining later?' What my husband need to answer here?
Please suggest.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Very helpful.
Another query is about maintenance of funds section. My husband has sekected 'Own/Main applicant funds.' As a result, he is showing 1 lakh INR eqivalent to £1000 in his 3 months bank statement. And I as being a main applicant showing £945 in my 3 months bank statement.

Is this ok?
Please suggest.

Each dependant must have £630 available to them whether they apply with you or separately. This is in addition to the £945 you must have to support yourself.
Means you have to show 630+945 = 1575 £ ( in your/husband bank account for Consecutive 90 days)

Note: this is the requirement in both case either main applicant is in UK or you both applying at the same time.

you won’t need evidence of your savings if you have a letter from your fully approved (‘A-rated’) sponsor saying they’ll provide one month’s funding of at least £630 for each of your dependents.

You can't provide 2 bank statements to show half money in 1 bank account and half money in other.
wait for senior member to comment on this as well.

also check the following 2 posts for the Tier 2 dependent , i hope you will get most of answer from the following link :

Thanks for your reply. I am having tier 2 general leave remain visa since 1 yr 2 months.
The bank statement of £1575 for consecutive 90 days is it acceptable starting from 3rd of Mar to 3rd of June?
Please suggest.

Hi,
I am currently in UK and having tier 2 general leave to remain visa since 1 year 2 months. I am going India for my marriage, and at the same time my husband will submit visa application so that he can come back with me. Following the suggestions above given by you, I have the final set of queries in the toer 2 dependant visa application as follows:
1. In the 'maintenance' section, my husband is choosing 'own/main applicant funds'. So he is showing 2 lakh INR in his Indian bank account which would be equivalent to around £2000 in order to cover his maintenance of £630 and my maintenace as a main applicant of £945; for consecutive 90 days starting from 3 dec 2016 to 3 march 2017. Can you please confirm is this ok if my husband will show the maintenance for this period starting from 3rd dec to 3rd mar? And is it ok if he can show funds for both himself and mine? As I am a main applicant do I still need to submit my bank statement as my husband is already showing around £2000? Lastly, my husband is showing funds in HDFC bank in INR currency as 2 lakh INR, is this acceptable by home office if funds shown in INR?

2. In the passport/travel information section the que is 'what is the address and contact details where my husband will be staying in uk' - Do I need to enter my name in 'name of person' field or my 'landlord name'. Because I have rented the place, I am not sure whether I need to enter my Landlord name or my name. Please suggest.

3. In the 'personal details' section - can my husband put his current address in the 'permanent reidential address field' , as he has lived at his current address around 9 months? Also in the spouse details, do I need to put my uk address or my India address in the permanent residential address, as my nationality is India and I have tier 2 general leave remain visa for couple of years. Please suggest.

4. In the 'personal details section' for question 'how long do you intend to stay in Uk' can my husband write 'as per the validity of spouse visa? Please suggest.

I would be very grateful to receive your suggestions.
Thanks.

1. YOu need to calculate 90 days by yourself , including the starting and ending date , so on safe side count 92 days, and remember your bank statement is not older than 30 days before the application day. As your husband can submit his bank statement but still remember about the pound rate , becaus ethey will consider the pound rate at the day of application and i think they also give the link for that , check there Tier2 poilcy guidence

2. your name , your address
3. In the 'personal details' section your husband address , if they are asking spouse adress then your UK Address as you are currently living here.
4. your BRP(visa) Expiry date
