Visitor Visa- Documentation help

Post by raddoc » Wed Mar 01, 2017 10:15 am

Hi all,
I am applying for visitor visa for my inlaws.I am part sponsoring the visit (essentially food and accommodation in UK).

I have emailed them scanned copies of the following:

-Letter of invitation/Sponsorship

-Job contract, 6 months pay slips, 6 months bank statements

-Tenancy agreement, utility bills.

I have a few queries regarding documentation.

1 ) My inlaws have a daughter who lives in India. What documentation can be used to prove that they have a daughter who is living in India?

2) Are copies of the sponsors documents and sponsorship letter sufficient or do they have to be originals?

3) Do any of the documentation needs notarization?

Thank you for your help.

Ration card, Passport, voter ID?

Copies are fine. I just sent scanned copies

No, but if any document is in native language, this will need to be translated and possibly notarized(check VFS website or call them up).

In addition, they will need to prove their ties to the home country by providing evidence of financial stability, payslip/pension, properties/land documents, relatives etc...

Thank you for your help.
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
