Tier 2 (General) visa refused incorrectly

Post by ravin9889 » Fri Mar 03, 2017 5:31 pm

Hi,

My Tier 2 General visa application has been refused on grounds of no submission of accompanying letter to show that my degree has been deemed by UK NARIC to meet C1 level. However, I did submit the UK NARIC letter which I received earlier in January and there is no reason why I would not submit that.

I think the UK NARIC document must have been overlooked or not scanned by the Visa Application Center. I have been awarded points for all other categories (60 in total) and I have been awarded 0 points for the English language requirement due to the above reason. I would be willing to present the same UK NARIC certificate again, if required.

My intended travel date to London is 1st April,2017.

Can you please advise on the next steps for a quick overturn?

Thanks,
Ravin

Try this https://www.gov.uk/immigration-asylum-t ... ide-the-uk. I would go for administrative review.

Thanks for your reply. I did some research on administrative overview but I need to follow a tight timeline. Many forums suggest that I should file a new application to save agony and time. Is there a cool off period that I need to wait for before applying second time?

Thanks in advance,
Ravin

I chose to apply again with a new CoS. I had applied and submitted my docs at VFS, Ahmedabad India on 16th March 2017. Please note that I had opted for fast track (priority visa). Today was the end of 5th working day and still haven't got any email or sms from VFS for passport collection.

Can anyone please let me know on how the processing time is affected after a visa refusal? I have read on UKVI website that a delay is likely if an application has been refused earlier. I would like to know when can i expect a decision on my application.

Many thanks,
Ravin

Hi Ravin,

Does your application approved by UKVI?

Hi @amol1234,

I don't have any updates yet. Have you applied? If yes, when?

Thanks,
Ravin

1. Category applying under (General / ICT / other) - Tier 2 GENERAL
2. Country of application -India
3. City of Visa Application Centre - Ahmedabad
4. Date of application - 16 Mar 2017
5. Date of submission of documents - 16 Mar 2017
6. Date Entry Clearance valid from - 28th Mar 2017
7. Duration for Entry Clearance - 30 Days
8. Date passport received - 30 Mar 2017

Please note that this was my second application after my earlier application got refused on grounds of no submission of NARIC letter. I got a decision on the first application in 7 days but as this was a second application, it might have taken longer for them to come to a decision.

All the best to all applicants!!
