Flr fp for my 6 months old baby?

Post by corasson » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:35 pm

Hi Everyone
I have leave to remain which is due for renewal in 2 months time. I had my leave as a parent of a british child and the child lives with me. I got married and I now have a baby who will be eligible for british passport once I or my husband has ILR.
My question is can i add my newborn baby to my application? My husband renewal is also due. He also has leave to remain as a parent of a british child. His son lives with his ex wife. My question is does our mariage will affect our renewal? None of us can apply on partner route as although we are married we both have leave to remain with 2 different child. Also my hubby is also now the step father of my British child.

Sorry for the long thread I just want to know where we stand and the best way forward

Cheers

You can both continue to apply on the basis of your respective British child.

Good Sunday everyone

Just want to know how if I can apply on 5 years parents route for my extension which is coming soon. I did apply on 5 years parent route the 1st time but don't know why they give me under the 10 year route. My lawyer then told me that I shouldn't worry anyway bcz I will be eligible for ILR on 10 years long residence.
I just want to know if is true. I arrived in the UK in mid 2010 and was on student visa until September 2014 I switched on time to FLR FP.

THANK YOU

Your solicitor is correct, assuming you had no break in legal residence during the qualifying 10 year LR period.

No I didn't break my residence at least as far as I'm concerned. My British child lives with me. I have his passport and some letters from the GP for his appointment. I also have the child benefit and tax credits with his name on it believe that will suffice to prove that I am the main carer. His dad parental responsibility is limited to paying child support. He has not seen his son for nearly 2 years and doesn't intend to. So I believe the responsibility is shared even i took all decisions. I just want to get everything right as I will not use the services of a lawyer for my extentions.

Thank you

How were you able to get child benefit and tax credit? Did your visa say you are entitled to benefits? You don't need a solicitor, with help from this board you should be fine. Just ensure that you have all docs and complete the current version of the FLR FP FORM

Hi

Yeah my leave was granted with public funds. I will not use a solicitor for my extentions. I have everything in place now just waiting for the 1st April to arrive to see if they will put a new form and if they will increased the fees . I hope no
