Bank statement for Schengan

Hi All,

I have Tier 1 Dependent visa in UK for 2 years. I have never applied for the Schengan before. I will really appreciate if someone can please answer the following basic questions.
I am employed and have full time job.

1. If I visit France 3 days, will I get 6 months visa? (How does this work, some of my friends have 6 months visa)
2. Showing my savings account bank statement is good enough. I do not have balance in current account
3. What is the fees and time to process the application?
