Hello everyone,

Can Tier 2 open a limited company and being a director of the company?

I have phoned up UKBA 3 times, but each time the answer is different, I think even the advisor on the phone is not too sure about it, as on the guideline it does not specify this point.

My parents (not live in UK) would want to open a UK limited company, but in order to open a UK business account, one of the director have to be a UK resident. Therefore, they want to appoint me as the “sleeping director”(not sure if it is the correct term), just for the sake of opening the business account. I will not get paid, nor involve in any activity. Therefore, I’m wondering if this will breach the T2 policy?
