Still waiting for Schengen Visa for spain, 5 weeks now.

Hi,

I am a UK citizen and my wife is non-EU with ILR.

We had hoped to travel to Barcelona for a mini-break last week, but without any explaination my wife's Schengen Visa has still not been processed.

Our main concern now, since the holiday has now been missed, is the location of her passport.

We called the only contact number for BLS (the agent the Spanish use) many times throughout this time and have found them less than useless on every occasion.

We called BLS on the 3/3/17 asking for her passport to be returned and they said the passport was not with them and we could not have it back at this time. We last called them on 9/3/17 and were told we could get the passport back, but would have to go in person to the BLS application centre in London to ask for it back. I very much expect to, having wasted another days annual leave, arrive at the office on London to be told something completely different.

We are going to wait a little longer but are very concerned and annoyed.

Could anyone advise?
