Practicing dentistry on a Tier 2 ICT long-term staff partner

Post by vijinpaulraj » Wed Mar 15, 2017 8:46 pm

Hi,
I'm on Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer) long-term visa and I've got my wife (xxxx) here on a Tier-2 Staff Partner (dependent) visa, and in her visa it was mentioned "No train Dr/Dent" - which means she can't practice doctor or dentistry in the UK. However, she has completed Bachelor of Dental Surgeon (BDS) in India and a qualified dentist, and also practiced for more than one year in India. I've got few queries about practicing dentistry in the UK,

Given if she completes Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) and registered her name in the General Dental Council (GDC), can she practice dentistry on the same visa?
Is it possible for her to do a dental course (i.e masters) on the same visa?

If not, could you please let me know if there is any other option for her to carry on her practicing in the UK?

Thanks,
Vijin Paulraj

once she has cleared exams, she can work/study and do whatever she likes.
The only thing she cant do is training in dentistry. This means the initial house job or further specialization.
