UK Visitor Visa from Ireland for EUFAM Parent

Post by shpirtshqipe » Sun Mar 19, 2017 7:45 am

Hi all,

I'm planning to apply for a 6 month visitor visa to the U.K. for my parent who has EUFAM.

I'm aware of the documents I need to supply including the GNIB Card but because we are applying from Ireland my question is?

Do I treat the application as if we are applying from her country of birth, even though she currently lives in Ireland?

I suspect I'll probably have to apply in the same way but I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction

Thanks in advance

Hi shpirtshqipe,

As your mother is residing in the Ireland so her application will be treated exactly in the same manner as from the home country.

If you're travelling with your mother to the UK then she doesn't require a visa and can 5 year residence card should be good enough.

Zeeshan
