Applying for PR -Benefits claimed outside qualifying period

Post by janaguil » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:56 pm

Hi,
Please, I need your help. I'm filling in the EEA (PR) form, I'm Spanish and have been living in UK for the last 8 years. I have been working full time in the past 5 and half years (qualifying period) but claimed Job Seekers Allowance for six months 7 years ago. The issue is that the EEA online form (Section 16) asks if I have ever received benefits but I'm still confused whether this is only for the qualifying period or, as they say ever, it's for any time since I arrived to the UK. In the latter case, I will need to provide documents I don't even have and info that I can't remember...
Thanks for your assistance.
