I have few quick queries please.
I am currently in T2, got my visa back in June 2014. I am now due for an extension.
According to the guidance the current minimum salary threshold for my job code (2471) is £20,800 and for experience staff is £25,100.
Could you kindly answer my following queries Please.
Question 1:
Do I need to meet the new minimum salary threshold of £30,000 if I apply after 06 April 2017 for extension?
Or can I still apply with the existing threshold of £25,100 as my first CoS was issued before 24 November 2016?
Question 2:
If the minimum salary has to be paid £30K, can I have an employment contract for 30 hours per week and pay proportionate hourly rate (threshold divided by 37.5 hours)?
Just to clarify again, contract is on £30K rate but not for 37.5 hours but for 30 hours. So my salary would be £30K / 37.5 x 30 hours = £24K.
Please let me if this is acceptable by home office? As my employer is unlikely to pay me full £30K, if that is what I will have to be paid.
