Documents For Temporary Visa

Post by Andyog » Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:44 am

Hi All,

My wife applied for the temporary via to join me as a spouse of an EU citizen in Ireland. She got it and is now here. We sent the documents off to get the perm visa and have made an appointment with the inis to get the temp extension whilst the perm visa decision is made.

We haven't heard anything back however and our appointment is next week. Does anyone know what documents we need to take with us so we get the extension whilst we are waiting. I don't want to turn up without the required stuff and to be turned away as we won't get another appointment in time before the original 3 months expires. Tried looking on the inis website and can't find what I need.

Did you check the leaflets at the bottom of this page?

I did, that's the stuff we submitted when we sent the application off. I wasn't sure if it was the same stuff needed for the temporary application or not. I guess it can't hurt just to take all the same stuff again.

You don't need an extension if you've already applied for the residence card as your spouse will be permitted to remain whilst waiting decision. Obviously if she leaves Ireland with the C Visa she'll need to apply for a re-entry visa.

If you need to travel with your spouse whilst the decision is being made then you need to apply for the visa extension
