Where to send supporting docs?

Post by tails2 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 8:25 pm

Hi

So I think I've nearly got my supporting documents ready (if her solicitor will stop changing things). I was going to post them to my GF in Brazil, but whilst browsing here I've read about sending them to Sheffield?

I can't find any info on the Home Office guide or Appendix FM-SE.

Kind regards Andy

Hello mate,

I think this new ruling of sending documents to Sheffield only applies to certain countries .... from your original post I believe you're applying from Brazil? I personally cannot suggest where you need to send your docs but I can surely share following links that apply to Pakistan, Indonesia and India:

https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/pakistan/pd ... 091115.pdf
https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/Indonesia/B ... ations.pdf
https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/I ... ations.pdf

Also, these are very recent changes so you might want to https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk for what applies to you (i.e. if you've applied through VFS in Brazil - sorry not sure how things work around that side of the globe).

Hi

I think for India, the correct link to look at is
http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/In ... icants.pdf which has a different address :(

Unfortunately neither document has a date on it

I got the link I have posted above from http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/ -> click on the down arrow next to the 'Read more' button -> click on 'click here' in "Scanning process for settlement supporting documents"

How did you arrive at your link Mohit? Can someone else confirm the right address please?

Kind regards,

Hi, yes my girlfriend is applying from Brazil I'm a British citizen in the UK. I'm not keen on sending all my documents to Brazil as if they get lost it's a minimum of 6 month wait, unless my employer can provide new payslips.

I'll have a look at the links

Hi Andy, did you manage to successfully send your documents to Sheffield? We are in the same position except our application has already been made. My husband is in Brazil and our file is very large and I didn't want to post it and risk it getting lost. I have called ukvi and emailed VFS Sao Paulo who both said it would be ok to post the file directly to sheffield, however when my husband went for his biometrics they told him otherwise and it has frightened us a lot. This is our second application and I really don't want it refused because the documents went to the wrong place. We would rather withdraw and reapply.

I would love to hear that yours worked out ok as it would give us lots of reassurance. I have tried to call sheffield to get some answers and they still tell me that its ok that it was sent to sheffield, but won't actually confirm if our documents are linked up with our file.

Help! :)
