COS Allocation declined

Post by ronychy2010 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 11:03 am

Dear gurus,
My tier2(g) initial leave will expire on August-2017. On 15-03-2017 we have applied for renewal of annual COS allocation for the year of 2017/2018. Home office did not approve and sent following reply

"We have not approved your request for an annual allocation of 1 CoS in Tier 2 (General) for an extension for Mr xxxx leave to remain as this annual allocation of Cos will expire on 5 April 2017. Please make a further request for an annual allocation for the new allocation year starting 06 April 2017 for Mr xxx leave to remain. "

My question is, we knew that we have to apply for new allocation before 5th April-2017 in order to apply my visa extension on August-2017. Did we know wrong? we missed and understood wrong anything? If we apply after 6th April-2017 for COS allocation, how much time it would take?

Thanks

They do these stupid things sometimes. i dont think you did anything wrong.
Best thing to do is apply on 6 April, hopefully it shouldnt take very long. I reckon, something like couple of months..

You can also apply for priority allocation which grants CoS in 5 working days. It costs £200
