Overstayer applying for spouse visa-URGENT HELP NEEDED

Post by Success2017 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 1:41 pm

Hi,

My wife will soon be applying for a spouse visa for me. I overstayed my multiple-entry visit visa until I voluntarily left the UK to get married in Nigeria. I also obtained a BSc and MA while in the UK (and paid home fees). Before I left the UK, I had started a PhD (also paying home fees) but have taken a break to sort out my situation. I have never worked or used public funds. I was in a relationship with my now wife for almost 2 years before we got married and we lived together for 6 months before I left.

My questions are:
As I have UK degrees can I use my certificates to satisfy the English Language requirement?
Will HO contact the universities to check what fees I paid?
Should I even disclose the PhD (when asked what my current employment is on the form)?
Does my immigration history fall under 320(11), i.e. further aggravating circumstances?

Thank you for your help!
